We invite you to come and explore our church, regardless of your current posture as a believer, uncertain, curious, doubtful, or skeptical.
Opportunities are abound to attend our Sunday morning discipleship classes as well as our full service and later on, to connect with one of our department ministries.
You will certainly be warmly welcomed and hopefully a growing sense of belonging will be created for you.
We offer membership classes to those who wish to learn more about repentance, salvation, as well as how to become a member of Lesedi Baptist Church.
Class sessions include introduction to the Baptist origin, mission and vision, values, etc.
Content is very basic but yet fundamental.
Classes are conducted in a very friendly intimidating format.
Topics include Baptist Church background, christianity, origin of the church, etc.
Baptism
One of the objectives of membership classes is to prepare believers to endure challenges that come because of your faith.
Believers are taught to understand that without accepting Jesus Christ as the Lord and Saviour, there is no salvation.
Believers would then be baptized by full immersion in water (Mathew 28:19-20, Mark 16:16, John 3:5-8 and Romans 6:3-4).
Baptism is an outward and public declaration of your faith in God through Christ Jesus.
Through baptism believers are united with Jesus Christ in His death and His resurrection.
Baptism is a sign of total commitment to follow Jesus Christ.
Baptism also declares the resurrection into new life, which is victory over the devil and sin.
Believers are baptized in the name of the Father, of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Mathew 28: 19-20).
