Welcome to Lesedi Baptist Church

Our aspiration is that people everywhere, from every nation, background, etc, should become one family in Christ. We invite you to come and explore our church, regardless of your current posture as a believer, uncertain, curious, doubtful, or skeptical. Opportunities are abound to attend our Sunday morning Discipleship classes as well as our full service and later on, to connect with one of our department ministries. You will certainly be warmly welcomed and hopefully a growing sense of belonging will be created for you. We offer membership classes to those who wish to learn more about repentance, salvation, as well as how to become a member of Lesedi Baptist Church. Class sessions include introduction to the Baptist origin, mission and vision, values, etc. Content is very basic but yet fundamental. Classes are conducted in a very friendly intimidating format. Topics include Baptist Church background, christianity, origin of the church, etc.

Objectives

Our objective is to create a congregation that embraces Christian fellowship, spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and transforms communities. Rooted in Acts 2:42-47, we focus on developing a holistic and contextual understanding of the Gospel, fostering meaningful connections within the Church. We are committed to promoting Baptist principles and providing an environment where members are empowered to fulfill the Great Commission—discipling and evangelizing the community. By equipping members to practice the ministry of transformation, we aim to positively impact the communities in which they live.

What to Expect

Music Ministry

Music is a participatory . We invite you to join us as we praise and worship our Lord God through singing, as well as by following on-screen lyrics, and by singing along with the congegrants, led by the Worship Team.

Prayer

Praying during our church services allows us to acknowledge our dependency on Christ Jesus, as Lord and Saviour of our lives. We pray for different needs and requests, for the Church and for members. We also hold intercessory prayer meetings before resumption of Bible Study and New Membership classes, wherein our spiritually-led faith leaders teach extensively and deeper, about issues of faith as well as how to lead a Godly life.

The Word of God

The teaching and preaching of the Word of God seeks to convey God's truth in compelling and relevant ways. Through each service, we pray that God bless the preaching of His Word to penetrate and impact lives.

Offering

We give money and other items of value, as an act of worship, not under compulsion of any kind, but out of cheerful and joyful hearts.

Bible Study

Individual believers can grow and mature spiritually by studying, discussing, meditating, understanding, and applying the Word of God. Bible Study is a great way to build meaningful relationships among believers, as well as fellowshipping together to read and discuss scriptures in a structured and meaningful way. The goal of meeting to study the Bible is to understand the meaning of the scripture and to apply it in our lives and grow spiritually.

Fellowship

Following the church service, we spend some time together, getting to know each other better, over a light meal or a cup of tea, through conversation.
